Experience Effective Physical Therapy

Covid-19 Updates

UPDATE 4-1-2024:

The mask mandate has ended! Even though the state does not require masks at this time we still have many staff wearing masks. If your physical therapist is not masking and you would feel more comfortable having them wear one, please just ask!

4-17-2023:

We recommend masking during your appointment while in clinic and with others in close proximity. We no longer require proof of vaccination, but it is highly recommend you get the bi-valent booster if you have not had a chance. We always highly encourage patients to protect yourself and others around you that might be at higher risk.

12-16-2022:

We are still masking, so please wear your mask when coming to physical therapy. We also hope that everyone has been able to get the bi-valent vaccine to protect you from serious illness and hospitalization from the various mutant strains. If you have not, we highly encourage everyone get the vaccine to protect you and others around you that might be at higher risk.

10-22-2021:

Throughout the pandemic PT Works is eager to learn the developments on booster shots and the recommendations from public health authorities. With that in mind employees have been required to be vaccinated since early 2021, and after careful thought to the future safety of our PT Works community we will now require new patients to show proof of vaccination. Patients may show their vaccination card or a digital record, which can be found by going to: https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov/

PT Works prefers all patients be vaccinated, however if a patient has a medical or religious exemption we will need to document this in our records.

6-17-2021:

PT Works cares deeply about the health of our patients and employees. We share your relief and excitement towards normalcy and we continue to work diligently to create a safe environment for everyone at PT Works.  Even though restrictions are lifted, we are part of a health system with vulnerable patients and we will maintain the health and safety protocols we adopted early on. Please wear a mask, distance from others, and let us know if you currently have any unusual or worsening flu-like symptoms, even if you have been fully vaccinated. We will continue these requirements in alignment with recommendations from public health authorities and continue to provide updates on this page.

PT Works Response to COVID-19:

We have always used hospital grade cleaning solutions with antibacterial and antiviral properties to keep our clinic clean, and all of the therapists wash their hands between patients.  Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 we have continued to and added the following:

*Hand sanitizer is available throughout the clinic for the patients and the employees to use.

*All tables in the gym have pillows with clean pillow cases and have been wiped down with Cavicade, an antiviral

cleaning solution and disposable paper towels.

*When rooms are cleaned, the tables, armrests of chairs and door knobs are being wiped down with an antiviral cleaning solution.

*All therapists are washing their hands between patients (as they always have done) and using hand sanitizer throughout the day.

*Aides are cleaning common areas and gym equipment throughout the day.

*All employees are told to stay at home if they are feeling sick, have a cough or fever.

*Social Distancing of 6+ feet.

*We are talking to patients that are at a higher risk of the virus to stay at home.

*We provide remote/telehealth appointments for physical therapy treatments in your home.

*We space tables 6+ feet utilizing safe distancing guidelines while patients are in clinic for treatment.

*We will continue to follow updates and protocols suggested by the CDC, Department of Public Health, and local agencies to ensure the safety of our patients and employees.

To ensure your safety we ask our patients to:
*Please use the Cavicade antiviral cleaning solution to wipe down gym equipment before and after use.

*Please contact us to cancel your appointment and stay home if you are sick, have a cough or fever.

*Consider remote treatments (talk to your PT regarding telehealth for effective treatments)

*Wash your hands with soap and warm water for 20 seconds and/or use hand sanitizer for 30 seconds.  Please make sure you rub the front/back of hands, between fingers and under nails.

*Cover your cough/sneeze using your elbow.

*Avoid touching your eyes, mouth, and nose with unwashed hands.
