Valerie received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from Stanford University before earning her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Duke University in 1988. For the last 25 years, she has focused her practice on orthopedic, sports, and workplace injuries. She continues to expand her knowledge by attending classes and workshops on a variety of treatment techniques for the spine, hips, shoulders, elbows, knees, and ankles.
Valerie is a Polestar certified rehabilitation specialist in Pilates-based exercise since 2008. She is also a certified Pilates Method Alliance practitioner. She uses Pilates to enhance her manual therapy techniques and to provide challenging exercise for her patients. Through patient education and functional exercise, Valerie’s patients live their best life and learn to care for themselves independently.
In her free time, Valerie enjoys gardening, cooking, reading, hiking, running and spending time with her family.
