Experience Effective Physical Therapy

Julie Altschuler, PT

Julie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Marymount University in Virginia in 2001.

She has worked at several clinics in the Washington DC area specializing in orthopedics, sports, manual therapy, neuromuscular reeducation and has treated all types of patients from athletes to geriatrics. Her focus is on using a one on one approach with evaluation and treatment to design individualized programs that combine manual therapy with prescription exercise and training programs to effectively treat patients in an effort to reach their goals

Julie is also certified in the Schroth Scoliosis Rehabilitation Method for the conservative management of scoliosis, kyphosis and other spinal deformities. With this method specific exercises are provided based on the curve patterns and severity, as well as the patient’s function and mobility. The goal is to create an awareness of the new posture and alignment through position, repetitions, breathing and strengthening.

After living her entire life on the east coast, she relocated with her family to the Bay Area in 2013.  She enjoys traveling, cooking, and loves spending time with her husband, 2 kids and dog exploring the Bay Area.
