Punam grew up in the Bay Area and attended Simmons University in Boston, MA where she
received her Bachelor's degrees in Exercise Science and Art.
She then went on to CSU Fresno where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Punam had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including a gait and mobility clinic, a hand specialty practice, and finally a sports and aquatics internship, where she worked with the Boston Ballet.
Punam enjoys working with all orthopedic cases, with a special interest in hands and wrists. She believes that manual therapy mixed with open communication and an effective exercise program is the recipe for success. Hands on therapy treatment improves tissue flexibility, reduces inflammation, modulates pain, and induces relaxation. Open communication allows for better understanding of the case and patient advocacy. Finally, an effective exercise program tailored to patients' specific needs helps muscle strength, flexibility and endurance.
In her free time she enjoys exploring new restaurants and will try an new activity or adventure.
She also enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling the world.
