Kristin received a B.S. in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 1981. In 1998 she co-founded PT Works with Alison Barker. Kristin has worked in the Bay Area in out patient orthopedics since 1983. She has taken a variety of graduate level courses and has formed her own "art" to treatment of orthopedic dysfunctions and oncology post cancer care including lymphedema management. She is a member of the APTA.
Her focus is on evaluation to define each patients issues, and the use of manual therapy and exercise prescription in individualized treatment. She confidently provides treatments for a variety of orthopedic, oncology and lymphedema diagnoses. She incorporates her thorough understanding of biomechanics in the evaluation and treatment process.
In the past she has taught students, mentored staff and has been a trainer for high school athletics. She has used some of her medical expertise on the slopes as a ski patroll at Squaw Valley. Her husband continues to patrol and she retired after 16 years to ski with her children.
Kristin exercises regularly for health & fitness and enjoys the outdoors with her husband and 2 children. Her family enjoys camping, skiing, boating, hiking and biking.
