Alison received her undergraduate degree from UC Davis with an emphasis in exercise physiology. She then received her Physical Therapy degree from Pacific University in 1984. She co-founded PT Works in 1998 with Kristin Tyse. She has taken a wide range of post graduate and continuing education courses in orthopedics & sports medicine. She co-authored a handbook on arthritis and developed an arthritis rehabilitation program in Seattle, WA. She has also been an industrial educator for various Silicon Valley companies for workplace fitness and office ergonomics. Alison presents community education programs on Fall Prevention. She is a member of the APTA.
Alison's specialties include manual therapy, functional rehabilitation, and treatment of lumbo-pelvic, shoulder, and upper cervical/TMJ dysfunction. Her early training in a rehabilitation setting instilled a firm belief in the importance of comprehensive care for improved optimal function of all patients including geriatric, pediatric, and sports medicine.
Alison enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. She likes watching sports, especially college football and baseball. In her free time she likes the outdoors, gardening, backpacking and hiking. She also takes pleasure in cooking, reading and traveling.
